The Orphanage Sampler - Daisy

The original of this sampler is in the George Müller Charitable Trust Museum in Bristol, England. 

As yet we do not have any information about Daisy. The chart kit contains interesting facts about life in the orphanage.

The kit includes a copy of the Needlework Syllabus used in the Orphanage

This reproduction sampler was stitched for Leisure Needle by Janet Edwards, using a DMC thread but an equivalent in Pearsalls Filoselle or spun silk may be obtained from www.pearsallsembroidery .co.uk. The sampler has interesting motifs in the bottom half......an elephant (Bristol Zoo), the train and ship all connect with Bristol.
