Doreen's first book, 'Flowers in Needlepoint Lace' was originally published in 1987. Although it is now out of print, Doreen has some copies available for sale through this website. The book is mostly aimed at beginners and the main chapters include inspiration and ideas, stitches and techniques and designs for beginners alongside a few designs for experienced lacemakers. Altogether there are 30 patterns and designs, most of which are accompanied by working diagrams and enlarged photographs of the finished lacework., clearly showing stitch formations and the overall composition. This approach ensures that the book can be used by both beginners or by more experienced needlelacers needing new designs to develop their skills.
