needlelace Stitch of the Month                             Couronne
October 2008

With ordinary cotton, make 5 straight stitches onto a piece of material.

Fasten off.

Thread a length of thread under these stitches for approx. 4 winds.

Now work a Blanket stitch over these threads using the same length of thread.

When you have completed the circle, take the needle into the first small loop at the edge of the first stitch.

Cut those first stitches made with ordinary cotton and the Couronne will lift off.
