The Turkey Knot is a useful stitch if you need some texture. Ideal for Hedgehogs and Bees.
Bring your needle up and take down again leaving a loop of thread. Work a straight stitch accross the top of the thread which is taken down through the material.
Bring the needle up to the left of that small straight stitch and take down again a little to the right of it........leaving a loop of thread. Work another straight stitch across the top of the last thread taken down to the underside of the material.
This stitch is worked from the bottom, up. Work a first row and begin the second row so that the loops overlap by a good amount. When you have completed all the rows, cut the loops and trim to the required length. |
